Big improvements on the way for the Ken Fovargue Park Kiwanis Splashpad! A new soft surface will greet visitors rather than the original concrete pad. The first surface was sufficient, but too many kids got minor bumps from running and slipping. This new surface will be cooler on little feet and much safer. While we are still encouraging the little ones to walk, we realize 2-6 year-olds are excited and take off quickly to get wet. The new splash pad being constructed at Community Park will also have the soft surface upon initial construction later this summer.
Thanks to Mayor Tom Brady for his original leadership in getting the splash pad built and Vice Mayor Steve D’Amico, Councilmembers Grace Hecht, Annette Wegmann, Rodney Head, Norma Brummett and Juan Lizarraga for supporting this new community asset for the youth of Bullhead City. Bullhead City is investing millions of dollars into park amenities for residents of all ages.
