About 5:30pm Sunday (1/1) evening, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a 63-year-old male whose 2WD Chevy truck had become stuck in a wash. He was on the west side of Golden Valley in the Black Mountains. He had no food, water or recovery gear and was unfamiliar with the area – as he just moved here. Search and Rescue was activated and began a route and location search. Teams quickly located him and brought him out to the Command Post. Search and Rescue wants to remind everyone when traveling in the remote areas of Mohave County, to bring plenty of supplies and never travel alone. Great job by everyone!
