Bullhead City, AZ – On July 2, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to a reported structure fire in the 2500 block of Country Club Place. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the roofline of the residence.

Initial reports indicated that all occupants had safely evacuated the premises, thanks to prompt action from Bullhead City Police Officers. However, two cats were reported missing at the time of the incident.

Battalion Chief S. Campbell assumed command at the scene, coordinating the response efforts as crews worked diligently despite challenges posed by a partial roof collapse. Due to safety concerns, firefighting efforts were adjusted to a defensive strategy.

Throughout the operation, crews faced extreme heat conditions, necessitating regular rotation and rehabilitation. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) played a crucial role in managing our rehab unit, ensuring firefighters remained hydrated and supported.

The Red Cross was called upon to assist displaced occupants, as the home sustained significant damage, rendering it uninhabitable. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Following the containment of the fire, investigators arrived to initiate an investigation into the cause, which remains under investigation.

Responding units:

  • E711, E761, E751
  • BAT7, F703, F705
  • M711, F707, F708, RH719
