MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (March 7, 2023) – The County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously at its March 6, 2023, meeting to send a letter to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) calling for the removal of a new stop light at Last Stop Travel Center on Highway 93. The location is the final stop for gas and snacks before entering Nevada from Arizona and the first stop in reverse. The supervisors agreed the light is unnecessary and leads to accidents on the highly traveled highway. One supervisor said complaints on the light come in daily.  County staff will draft the letter to ADOT with final approval from supervisors.

The letter is expected to have an influential impact on ADOT’s decision, and the supervisors are hopeful for a reversal and the stop light will be removed.
