On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 03:00 AM, Engines 311, 321, Tender 318, Tender 338 and Battalion 3 were dispatched for a possible structure fire in the 3100 block of Devlin. First arriving fire personnel found smoke exiting the unoccupied single family residence. Crews immediately began the offensive attack, personnel found the area of origin at the rear/ east corner of the residence. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and kept it from spreading into other areas of the home and attic. Overhaul and salvage operations continued to confirm no spread of the fire. Fire Department investigators were dispatched to determine the cause. No firefighters were hurt during this blaze. Units from American Medical Response (AMR) assisted NACFD and MCSO assisted with traffic control and investigation. At this time the cause and loss figures are inconclusive.
