The Taste of Bullhead is an annual event for the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce amd is the largest fundraiser throughout the year for the organization. The funds go toward supporting multiple local non-profit community events, staff, facility maintenance, and marketing Bullhead City as the City where you can “Vacation Til You Stay”. Tourism has been increasing year over year and Bullhead City is seeing more and more large employers open facilities here or expand existing operations.
This year’s event marks the second year of the passing of Jan Barrios whom was very involved in our community through the Chamber of Commerce and her role with the Chamber Ambassadors. The past two years the event has had the “Jan Barrios Forever Table” at the front and center of the venue. Desert Lawn has sponsored the table each year in commemoration of her legacy.
The Kid and Nic Show rocked the evening with great music and stage presence getting folks up dancing, enjoying their evening as they sampled and voted on their favorite tastes of the night.
This years competitors were Avi Resort Casino, Firehouse Coffee & Cafe, Megatoppers, Mohave Shrine, Papa Johns, Pixie Dust Treats Bakery, Drifting Bistro, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, CoVeu Drinkery and Eatery, and Valley View Medical Center, and Rickety Cricket supplied the beverages.
Congratulations to the winners. The Avi Resort & Casino won for Best Appetizer, Mohave Shrine took home the win for Best Entree, and Firehouse Coffee & Cafe won “Ritziest Booth”.
