KINGMAN—A 16-year-old boy is recuperating after being shot Thursday night in Kingman.

Kingman Police spokesman Rusty Cooper said officers responded to a park in the 3800 block of N. Willow Road after receiving a call referencing a shooting that had just occurred.

Officers arrived on scene and found the teen had been shot twice—once in the hand and once in the leg, said Cooper.

The teen was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Cooper said investigators from KPD and the Arizona Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission (GIITEM) located the suspects and a suspect vehicle a short distance away.

The investigation and arrests are being handled by AZ GIITEM, said Cooper.
