The first public endorsements in the upcoming constable election in Laughlin have been announced. They include the entire Laughlin Town Advisory Board who have each individually endorsed incumbent Laughlin Constable Jordan Ross. Ross said, “It’s hard to really find the words to express my gratitude. These are some of the most important people in this town, and not because they are the rich and the powerful, but because these are the people who have worked tirelessly for years to make this a better community. To have their confidence is pretty humbling. I won’t let them down”

The current town board members are Chair Kathy Ochs, a well-known successful business owner who has served numerous terms on the board over the last several decades and has a deep institutional memory of Laughlin, Vice Chair Pamela Walker, Commander of American Legion Post 60 who has worked to rebuild and modernize the business affairs of the post and accelerate support to the veterans community, Kathleen Hoss, who has held a host of offices with various community and civic groups and is currently Secretary of the Laughlin Elks and Immediate Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Fred Doten, former commander of the American Legion and frequently referred to as Laughlin’s unofficial Town Engineer, bringing his many years of military and civilian engineering expertise to matters involving public works, and Herm Walker, former General Counsel for the Riverside Resort, one of the very few attorneys in Laughlin who brings a half century of legal experience to the board.

Additional endorsements for Ross came from Pastor Doug Westly who opens each board meeting with an invocation and Roger Reimer, Life Member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars who has held numerous offices with both organizations over the years.
