We are looking for financial support in our Stop the Bleed Campaign. All fire, EMS, hospital and police agencies in the local Tri State Cities (Laughlin, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Needles and Topock) have begun the proactive approach to counter against acts of violence within our school systems .
Since 2013 there have been over 434 school shootings in America. That is 434 too many! Of those, 65% occurred in populated areas of 50,000 or less- that is us.
Our agencies have partnered with ICSAVE (Integrated Community Solutions to Active Violence Events) a 501(c) not for profit organization in order to present Stop the Bleed, as well as active shooter/threat training (ILIVED/ALICE) to every school staff member across all of the 30 campuses in our area FREE of cost.
With this we are hoping to place a bleeding control kit in every classroom, bus, AED box, gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria etc. in our tri state. We hope and pray that they never have to be used; but in the event that they are needed the kits are readily available and can save lives. Statistics of some major school / or mass shooting in general have shown 80% of fatalities occurred as a result of direct blood loss from an extremity wound which could have been non-fatal if treated timely. With education, training and the availability of the kits we are hoping to reduce or even stop this number from growing.
In order to purchase the 1003 kits ($65.00 each) needed we are looking for donations from our community as a whole. We need to raise $65,195.00 and have collected $12,150.00 to date from some incredible donators. The donations go directly through ICSAVE and all donations are claimable on taxes with the EIN # provided by ICSAVE.
If you would like to sponsor this program and donate funds toward the purchase of the kits to protect and empower our community please let us know.
Donations can be made:
or mailed to ICSAVE 5364 North Paseo De La Terraza, Tucson AZ 85750 – Include instructions to send kits to Fort Mojave Mesa Fire for the Tri-State Colorado River Cities Stop the Bleed.
