Three Burros Killed On Parkway

BULLHEAD CITY — The Bullhead City Police Department cautions drivers to watch out for burros and other wildlife.

On Wednesday, December 12 at around 2 a.m., police were called to a vehicle accident where a motorist struck and killed three burros that had entered the roadway at the Bullhead Parkway and Hillview Drive. The driver was not seriously injured. 

Recently, there has been high burro activity reported near the Bullhead Parkway and Highway 68. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), burros venture out more in cooler weather.

We drove by Bullhead Pkwy at 9:45 pm and was saddened to see one of the Burros covered on the ground.We love our free roaming Burros and other wildlife.It breaks my heart to not see enough lit up signs or something done to help them be safe. Drivers need to be reminded as they drive along that stretch of hwy. We need to realize it’s up to us to protect them and seems like were failing.
