Tonight’s Drug, weapon, and theft busts

** Dangerous Drugs and Weapons Offense **

On Friday, September 27th, at about 11:00pm, Kingman Police arrested David Joe Concepcion, 44 of Kingman, and Amber Rodriguez Copsey, 24 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia x2, Possession of Marijuana, Weapons Misconduct and Misconduct Involving Body Armor.  Both were contacted inside a parked car in the parking lot of a business in the 3400blk of N. Stockton Hill Rd.  Officers arrived after receiving several reports of two subjects unconscious inside a parked car.  Officers arrived and contacted Copsey and Concepcion who were found to be under the influence of drugs.  During the investigation officer found that both were in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, two handguns, body armor and assorted drug paraphernalia related to drug sales.   Both, who admitted involvement in the offenses, were arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

(Note: possession of a firearm and/or body armor during the commission of a drug offense is a felony crime.)

** Multiple Mail Thefts **

The Kingman Police Department has investigated numerous reports of mail being stolen from mail boxes in several Kingman neighborhoods. Last week reports of mail theft were reported in a downtown Kingman neighborhood, an apartment complex on Hualapai Mountain Rd. and the North Kingman “Camelback” neighborhood.  KPD is working with investigators from the U.S Postal Inspectors Office.  Residents are urged to check their mail daily.  Anyone with information is urged to contact KPD by calling (928) 753-2191, report anonymously to Mohave Silent Witness by calling (928) 753-1234, or report online by going to www.kingmanpolice.cpom and clicking on “Give A Tip”.
