GOLDEN SHORES–A local man is in jail facing several felony drug charges after a search warrant was served Friday morning at a residence in Golden Shores.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies and MAGNET detectives executed the search warrant shortly after 5 a.m. Friday at a home in the 4600 block of Shore Drive.
One male–later identified as David Leon Potter, 51–and two females were removed from the home and detained while deputies searched the residence, Mortensen said. The search reportedly uncovered 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana wax, unknown pills, multiple glass pipes, a scale, over $1000 in cash, and a surveillance systems with about six different views of the residence.
Potter was taken to the Mohave County jail for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. Debra Mariedth Drean, 63, of Topock was arrested on suspicion of the same charges, but due to health reasons, Drean was cited and released at the scene. She will be required to appear at a later date, Mortensen said. The other female was released from the scene.
