UPDATE (01/25/2021): TOUR BUS ACCIDENT- DOLAN SPRINGS

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into a tour-bus accident that occurred on Friday (1/22) in Dolan Springs. The incident occurred on milepost 5 on Diamond Bar Rd. at approximately 12:21 PM. The bus, managed by Comedy On Deck Tours out of Las Vegas, rolled and landed on its side. One passenger, identified as Shelley Ann Voges, 53 of Boonville, IN, was deceased on scene. Initial reports were two of the passengers were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with critical injuries at the time of the incident. The current information is that three passengers were seen at Kingman Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.

Two of the initial three passengers who sustained critical injuries were later transported to Las Vegas area hospitals for treatment. All three critical patients are listed in stable condition. Forty additional passengers of the bus were treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center and released. The majority of the passengers were from the United States. One passenger was from Europe. Ages of the passengers range from 20 years of age to 60 years of age. The investigation into why the accident occurred is still ongoing, and more information will be released pending the results of the
investigation.

ORIGINAL (01/22/2021): TOUR BUS ACCIDENT- DOLAN SPRINGS

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a tour-bus accident that occurred on Friday (1/22) at approximately 12:21 PM. Multiple calls were received by the Mohave County Communication Center that a tour bus, headed to Grand Canyon West had rolled and landed on its side at approximately milepost 5 on Diamond Bar Rd. The bus, managed by a Las Vegas based company, was carrying forty-eight occupants (including the driver). One occupant was deceased on scene, two occupants were critically injured and transported to nearby hospitals, seven occupants were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) via ambulance with less-severe injuries, and thirty-three occupants were transported to KRMC for minor injuries. Identities of the deceased and injured are not being released at this time. This investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
