BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City School District (BCSD) has announced plans to consolidate two school bus routes for the remainder of the school year, beginning with the new semester that starts when classes resume January 3. Fox Creek Junior High’s Route B will be combined with Bullhead City Middle School’s Route L.
The new Route L primarily serves northeastern Bullhead City, including the Punto de Vista and Katherine Heights neighborhoods. The old Route B is going away for the rest of the semester. The new Route L’s first pick-up will be at 6:34 a.m. at Power Line Rd. and Katherine Heights Ave. The last pick-up is at 6:55 a.m. at Mercer Rd. and San Rosa Pl. Students will be dropped off first at FCJHS and then at BCMS. In the afternoon, FCJHS students will be picked up first at 2:40 p.m., followed by BCMS students.
“Parents, please understand that it will take several days of running the new afternoon route before we have a more definitive afternoon Route L timetable,” said Superintendent Carolyn Stewart. “Thank you in advance for your patience.” The updated schedule for the new Route L, along with all other BCSD Routes, is posted online at https://www.crsk12.org/departments/transportation . The BCMS and FCJHS bus links are at the bottom.
As with many other school districts, BCSD has been impacted by the nationwide shortage of school bus drivers. BCSD continues to recruit for the part-time positions. Additional information is available from Patricia Frasure, BCSD’s assistant transportation director, at pfrasure@crsk12.org / 928-704-5742. Positions are posted at www.crsk12.org/employment, and “Our Employment Portal.”
