UPDATE FATAL VEHICLE COLLISION / MANSLAUGHTER- KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are continuing their investigation into a fatal hit and run vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday (1/29). At 7:40 PM, deputies responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision where a female victim was located deceased in the roadway. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian had fled the scene after the collision and was later located in an obvious attempt to conceal it.

 

A male subject, identified as Brandon Lewis St. Ours was questioned and later arrested for Manslaughter by Domestic Violence and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident. The victim in this incident has been positively identified as Tasha Deann Childress, 31 of Golden Valley. This investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday (1/29) at 7:40 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and medical personnel with Northern Arizona Fire Department and River Medical Ambulance responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the area of E. College Ave. and N. Casey Ln. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian had fled the scene after the collision and a female victim was found on scene.

The female had no pulse and was not breathing and life saving measures were attempt on scene and continued during transport to the hospital. Upon arrival to the hospital, the female was declared deceased. Detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, it was found that the female had gotten into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, identified as Brandon Lewis St. Ours, 37 of Kingman, at a residence in the 4700 block of N.
Casey Ln.

The two were asked to leave the residence by a third party at the residence, based on the two arguing. Both subjects left the residence, however the female refused to get in Brandon’s vehicle and walked from the scene. Brandon drove around looking for the female, and ultimately struck her with the vehicle just a short distance from the residence. Brandon then fled the scene and parked his vehicle at another location in an obvious attempt to conceal it.

Brandon was located and questioned in reference to the incident. At the conclusion of the investigation, Brandon was transported to the Mohave County Jail where he was booked for Manslaughter by Domestic Violence and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident. Brandon’s vehicle was located and towed for processing. The female’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. This investigation is ongoing.
