UPDATE: Found – LOST HIKERS: MONOLITH GARDENS, CERBAT FOOTHILLS RECREATION AREA

About 6pm Saturday (1/21) evening, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a call to help locate two lost hikers in their 50s (a husband and wife) at Monolith Gardens in the Cerbat Foothills Recreation Area. They had parked at the Metwell Trailhead and could not find their way back to it. Kingman Fire Department, Kingman Police Department and Search and Rescue responded and began a route and location search. Kingman Fire launched their UAS to search from the air. Search teams quickly located them and brought them out at the Coyote Pass trailhead, as it was closer to their location. They were happy to be found and transported back to the Metwell Trailhead.
