Today 9/7) at approximately 10:00 am, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the sandy desert area south of Desert Hills for a report of a UTV roll over. The Lake Havasu City Police and Fire Departments also responded.

While on scene, hiking up a large sand hill to the area of the roll over, a Deputy with The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Office who is assigned to the Lake Havasu City area, began to suffer from a medical episode. The Deputy was evaluated by on scene medical personnel, and transported to the Havasu Regional Medical Center. It was determined that the Deputy suffered from a heat related illness. He was treated and released from the hospital.
