On Sunday (4/4) at approximately 2:42 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a vehicle vs. train collision in Golden Valley. Deputies arrived on scene and observed two vehicles had been hit by the train. Three occupants of the two vehicles were deceased on scene.

The investigation revealed that the two vehicles were stopped at the railroad crossing, waiting for a passing east bound train at milepost crossing 528.6. Once the east bound train passed, they began to cross the intersection, not seeing that a west bound train was approaching. Both vehicles were hit by the train. This investigation is ongoing.

  1. I’m trying to figure out where this happened because there are no railroad tracks in Golden Valley.
