VEHICLE COLLISION- KINGMAN

On Saturday (2/1) at approximately 12 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a two
vehicle collision with injuries in the area of Jagerson Ave. and Van Nuys Rd. in Kingman. Deputies arrived
on scene and observed a white Dodge truck with a box trailer and an older model Ford truck blocking both
lanes of traffic and both vehicle had sustained heavy damage. The cab of the Ford truck had been crushed
inwards, pinning the driver inside. Medical personnel were able to extract the driver, who was transported to
Kingman Regional Medical Center, and later flown to a Las Vegas hospital with severe injuries. The driver of
the Dodge truck was treated on scene for minor injuries. The investigation revealed that the two vehicles
had been travelling towards each other in opposite directions when the Ford entered into the opposite lane
of travel. The Dodge truck attempted to turn to the right to avoid the collision, but was unsuccessful. Both
operators were wearing seatbelts at the time of impact. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in this
collision. This investigation is ongoing.
