Walter Finds A Home Book Signing This Weekend In Fort Mohave

FORT MOHAVE –Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a book signing for the local popular book “Walter Finds A Home” will be held Saturday at Donya’s Buy the Book, 5630 Highway 95 in Fort Mohave.

The signing will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. AZ time. Books will be available for purchase during the event. Come out and meet the authors, and of course, the star of the children’s book series, Walter! “Walter Finds A Home” tells the story of Walter, a newborn donkey abandoned at birth in the Arizona desert and the heartfelt journey he endures while finding a forever home.

The book was written by local award-winning journalist Cat Smith, as told by Walter’s owners, Brad and Kelly Blake. Illustrations were created by Mississippi native Jasmine Smith.  It is published by Archway Publishing, an online subsidiary of Simon & Schuster, a New York publishing company.

“Walter Finds A Home” is the first edition in a series of ten that will be published over the course of the next few years, along with an animated film.  The second book in the series is slated for release late Summer 2021. The title of the next book is called “Walter’s Desert Adventure”.  Pre-orders will begin one month prior to the publication release date.
