KINGMAN–A man suspected of committing multiple burglaries around Mohave County was captured by Kingman Police following a short foot pursuit Wednesday afternoon.
Austin Ward, 19, is charged with three counts of felony burglary in the 3rd-degree, one count of burglary in the 3rd-degree use of master key and one count of vehicle burglary.
Ward was apprehended Wednesday afternoon in the 3900 block of North Bank Street after police were dispatched to a report of a male subject in the rear of businesses fenced yard allegedly breaking into parked vehicles.
Kingman Police spokesman Rusty Cooper said when officers arrived on scene, Ward fled and led officers on a brief pursuit after reportedly stealing a bike from the back of an RV parked for repair.
He was subsequently taken into custody in the parking lot of Kingman High School. A search revealed he reportedly had methamphetamine and associated drug paraphernalia on his persons.
Ward was taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
