On Wednesday (8/28), The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety responded to a call of two personal watercrafts (PWC) that collided on Lake Havasu, just outside of the Islander RV Resort. It was reported that there were injured subjects in the water.
Upon arrival, both occupants of the personal watercrafts were out of the water and only complaining of minor injuries. It was determined that one PWC was following the other, when the lead PWC slowed down. The PWC following then struck the rear of the lead PWC. The operator of the lead PWC was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The second operator was issued a citation. Alcohol was not a factor in this incident, however inexperience and inattention were factors in this incident.
