Last Tuesday (3/17) at approximately 10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a weapons offense that occurred in the area of County Route 1 milepost 7. The victim advised that she and a passenger were on their way home to Topock, when a black truck came speeding up behind them. The truck passed them on the roadway and she heard a popping sound. During the stop, Cady had made comments about being involved in a shooting in Arizona. When asked, Cady admitted to firing a weapon at the vehicle, and made several comments about someone being after him. A felony warrant was issued for two counts of Aggravated Assault, Drive by Shooting, and Criminal Damage, all felonies. Daniel John Cady was taken into custody by California Highway Patrol and will be extradited to Mohave County pending the conclusion of his charges with the agency.
