Maverick is a 6-year-old male, tan and gold, Golden Retriever/Chow. He’s very loving. Quiet, likes to lounge on his bed and LOVES treats. Seems to be house trained and knows some basic commands. Does ok with other dogs, but would definitely recommend a meet-and-greet if there are any other pets in the home. Has called the shelter home since July, so he is looking for that FUR-ever home.

His Petfinder.com bio says, “I was being cared for by the neighbors, but my dad never came back for me. I was living under the house so there is not much to know about me.”

He is not yet neutered, but looking for that fur-ever home. The cost for adoption is $100 and covers his neuter, DAPP vaccine, rabies vaccine, vet exam and licensing for one year if a Bullhead City resident. Call Bullhead Animal Care & Welfare at 928-763-6000 for more information on how to adopt Maverick.

Check our website each week as we spotlight adoptable animals from around Mohave County.
