WHITE HILLS ~ Attempted Murder

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are continuing the investigation of a weapons offense/ attempted murder that occurred at approximately 4 PM on Wednesday (2/13). Deputies and Detectives responded to a residence in the 11000 block of West Saddleback Drive in White Hills when one of the victims called 911. The victim advised that a male subject, identified as Donald Cory Dehar, 55 of White Hills, had just shot him and another male with a handgun. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with both victims and began rendering aid until emergency medical staff arrived. The victim advised that Dehar had fled the scene on foot and went to the house next door. Deputies responded to the neighboring residence and began making commands for Dehar to exit, to which he complied without incident. One victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, while the other victim was transported to a Las Vegas hospital with a more serious injury. Donald Cory Dehar was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Weapon by Prohibited Possessor. This investigation is ongoing.
