Strong Winds In The Weekend Forecast

BULLHEAD CITY—The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a wind advisory that will affect the river communities throughout the weekend.
The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. Friday, March 2 until 5 a.m. Saturday, March 3 with wind speeds between 25 to 35 mph and higher wind gusts of up to 50 mph.
Areas affected include Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Oatman, Topock, Needles, CA and Laughlin, NV.
Furthermore, residents are urged to avoid activities on the Colorado River and Lake Mohave during the advisory.
Winds will also hamper travel along I-40 with strong winds and gusts up to 40 mph. High profile vehicles—vans, campers and trailers—should use caution and be aware of blowing dust and sand.
