12/27 -WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 PM MST TUESDAY
* WHAT…Lower elevation snow expected. Total snow accumulations
of up to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE…Northwest Plateau and Northwest Deserts.
* WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM MST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Icy and snow covered roads are possible, especially
in the mountain terrain, particularly along Interstate 40, State
Route 66, State Route 389, and Hualapai Mountain Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The primary concern will be along
Interstate 40 east of Kingman, where up to 3 inches of
accumulating snowfall on the roadway is possible. Additional
areas of concern include Hualapai Mountain Road, State Route 66
east of Kingman, and State Route 389 from Colorado City to
Fredonia, where roadway snow accumulations will result in
dangerous travel conditions.
