WWII B-17 Bomber arriving in Kingman to celebrate Major Leven Ferrin’s 100 th Birthday

The Aviation Heritage Center of Kingman (AHCoK) will be celebrating the 100 th Birthday of Major Leven Ferrin of Phoenix, AZ by bringing the Commemorative Air Force’s B-17, Sentimental Journey, to the Kingman Airport on Monday, December 6, 2021 for an all-day event. Maj. Ferrin and his family will be in attendance and will participate in a historic local flight of the B-17. Mr. Ferrin was one of few B-17 pilots in WWII who completed all 25 missions over Europe with the 8th Air Force.

The opportunity to bring this Hero and the iconic B-17 together for such an incredible moment in time is truly rare and will never come this way again Sentimental Journey will be on display at the Kingman Airport from 10:00 a.m. until its departure at 3:00 p.m. on December 6 th . There will be a riveting recounting of his military career. A brief question and
answer session is anticipated. The public (particularly WWII veterans) is encouraged to attend the event to honor Major Ferrin for his unwavering service to our country and share a celebratory piece of birthday cake. (A detailed schedule will be provided soon.)
