In January 2020, the Bullhead City Fire Department applied for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through HUD in Mohave County. We are excited to announce that the $125,000 grant was awarded to our department for the purchase of a new medic unit for response in District 6. The total cost of the medic unit, including equipment, is approximately $180,000.

The procurement and build process started in January 2021; delivery of the medic unit for final equipment installation took place in February 2022. A few new highlighted features include a Power-Load Stryker gurney lift, a new electric oxygen tank lift, and 4 x 4 capabilities with a liquid rear suspension. The new medic unit will be housed at fire station #6, located at 2025 Clearwater Drive.
