After Four Successful Years, Boys & Girls Clubs Thrift Store at Laughlin Mall to Close at End of October 2024
After four years of service, the Boys & Girls Clubs Thrift Store at the Laughlin Mall will close its doors at the end of October 2024. Since opening in 2020, the store has played a key role in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River. However, recent changes in the mall’s environment have caused a significant drop in sales, making it no longer viable to operate at this location.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River emphasizes that their other thrift stores in Bullhead City and Fort Mohave will remain OPEN and fully operational. These stores are crucial to funding all Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River locations—including Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, and Laughlin—by providing necessary resources that help further their mission of serving local kids.
“Although we are sad to close our Laughlin Mall location, we are excited to continue serving our community through our Bullhead City and Fort Mohave stores,” said Autumn Boyle-Robinson, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River. “Shopping and donating at our remaining locations keep funds local, directly supporting programs and activities that benefit kids right here in our community.”
The closure of the Laughlin Mall store will not affect the services and programs provided at the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Laughlin location. Thanks to the community’s ongoing support at the Bullhead City and Fort Mohave stores, the clubs will continue to thrive.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River expresses deep gratitude for the support shown over the past four years and encourages everyone to keep shopping and donating at their Bullhead City and Fort Mohave locations. Every dollar stays local and directly impacts the community’s youth.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to enable all young people, especially those in need, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization operates three locations: 2250 Highland Rd, Bullhead City, AZ 86442; 1975 Arie Avenue, Laughlin, NV 89029; and 4762 La Riqueza Rd, Fort Mohave, AZ 86426. Their clubs provide after-school programs and summer day camps to over 1,600 students annually.
