• Premier Backhoe, on behalf of Bullhead City Utilities, will install a water system valve in front of Family Dollar on Hancock Rd on Wednesday, May 27, from 10 p.m. through the morning hours of Thursday, May 28. The westbound lanes of Hancock Rd will be closed between Hancock Way and Lakeside Dr, with traffic detoured to Hancock Way.

• T.R. Orr, Inc., on behalf of the City of Bullhead City, will continue building new restrooms at Community Park, just south of the Bullhead Belle.

• Bullhead City Utilities will continue repairs to underground sewer lines on 7th Street. The roadway will be closed on both east and west of Highway 95, with all traffic detoured to 6th Street until the project is completed in a few weeks.

• McCormick Construction will continue site preparation work to pave the southbound right-hand turn lane of Highway 95 into the future City Centre development between Marina Blvd and Riverview Dr. Work on the turn lane will take place overnight on weekdays.

• McCormick Construction will continue replacing 54 accessibility ramps along the sidewalks of Hancock Rd. Crews will work on the northern side of the road from Hancock Way to Emerald Rd. The affected lanes and intersection access to Hancock Rd will be closed from May 24 to May 30 between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Detoured routes will use Zircon Ave.

• Perco Rock Company, on behalf of the City, will continue installing a southbound right-hand turn lane along Highway 95 from Georgia Lane to E Shore Villas Drive. The entrance to the parking lot between Riliberto’s and Burger King from Highway 95 has been temporarily closed while work continues. Crews are working overnight from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, with nighttime lane restrictions on the outside southbound lane. Throughout the project, the speed limit through the area is reduced to 30 mph to ensure the safety of motorists and construction crew members.

• Gold Rush Rd, from Silver Creek Rd to Black Mountain Rd, and Black Mountain Rd, from Gold Rush Rd to Acacia Way, will be periodically closed to through traffic while contractors upgrade the existing gas main in the right of way. Residents along the closure will still have access to their property.

• Contractors working on behalf of Bullhead City Utilities will complete various asphalt and concrete repairs around the City in locations where recent water line repairs were made.

• Precise Builders is finishing the remodel of the former Mohave Valley Daily News building into the new Bullhead City Animal Resource Center and is completing the final punch list items. The facility, which will feature expanded capacity, a veterinary clinic, a dog washing station, a pet crematorium, and more, is expected to open soon.

• Kay Constructors LLC, under contract with Bullhead City Utilities, is building a new aeration basin at the Section 10 wastewater treatment plant. This project is part of an overall expansion to increase the volume of water the City can reclaim.

• Bullhead City Utilities is installing a new south supply line along the north edge of Riverview Dr between Kaibab Dr and Highway 95, along the western edge of Highway 95 from Riverview Dr to North Oatman, and under Highway 95 at North Oatman running 2000’ east. This effort is part of the second phase of a project that recently completed construction of a new well along Riverview Dr, improving water production and distribution for customers.

• Bullhead City Utilities will rehabilitate a clarifier at the Section 10 wastewater treatment plant. The work will involve draining, cleaning, and measuring the clarifier before installing new mechanical equipment and protective material to extend the lifespan of the concrete.

• Bullhead City Utilities will continue rehabilitating well 16-1 in the area around Ramar Rd and Alta Vista Rd. While repairs are underway, trucks will transport water to maintain service for customers.

• Bullhead City Utilities has completed drilling a new well, 6-1, southwest of the intersection of Landon Dr and Bullhead Parkway. Crews will be test pumping the well.

Residents are encouraged to download the Bullhead City Direct app, available for Android and iOS devices, to receive road closure notices and other timely project updates. The app is the public’s direct line to City Hall, providing quick access to information and enabling residents to report issues directly to City Staff for resolution.

The City reminds the public to only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of appropriately to avoid damage to city infrastructure. Please use caution when traveling through work zones and obey all posted signage and traffic control devices.
