BULLHEAD CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFERS HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS
BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – As the Halloween season approaches, the Bullhead City Police Department urges city residents to enjoy safe festivities. We encourage everyone, parents, guardians, trick-or-treaters as well as drivers, to prioritize safety to ensure an enjoyable and incident-free celebration.
To safeguard trick-or-treaters, we solicit drivers to:
* Remain attentive for children crossing roads or walking along streets.
* Decrease speed and vigilantly examine the surroundings.
* Remember, our force will be in full patrol for public safety. Don’t forget to opt for a designated driver!
Further, we suggest that parents or guardians should:
* Inspect all candies before consumption. Prior dining with a substantial meal could prevent children from sneaking treats.
* Educate children about safety measures such as avoiding unnecessary contact with strangers or performing reckless activities.
* Motivate children to take precautions like using reflective tape or carrying flashlights to enhance their visibility.
* Explain the significant difference between harmless tricks and destructive vandalism.
For trick-or-treaters, we recommend them to:
* Follow sidewalks and refrain from unneeded running.
* Make regular practice of looking before crossing roads.
* Ensure an adult companion or restrict the event to daylight hours, initiate an executable timeline and planned route.
* Promote a “buddy system,” consists of mutual assurance of reaching home safely.
Ensuring safety during Halloween celebrations is a collective effort. Together we can make this Halloween jovial and secure. Stay safe, have fun, and make it a Halloween to remember!
