FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 1, 2025
Kingman, AZ – The City of Kingman is notifying residents of a temporary intersection closure at Washington Street and Ross Avenue beginning Monday, October 6, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. through Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. During this time, crews will be installing the tie-in valve for the Santa Rosa Transmission Main water line. A detour map has been provided for residents’ convenience.
In addition, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., residences in the surrounding area will experience temporary water shutoffs. Door hangers notifying those affected will be distributed by B&F Contracting on Thursday, October 2, 2025. At minimum, all homes within the highlighted yellow area on the map will be impacted by this shutdown. While access to homes and businesses will be maintained, there may be intermittent disruptions. The contractor will provide assistance with driveway access and notify affected properties in advance as the project progresses.
This temporary closure is part of the installation of the new Santa Rosa Transmission Main water line, a project anticipated to be completed by mid-December, 2025. This vital infrastructure project is designed to enhance the city’s water delivery system by optimizing pump operations, removing pressure-reducing valves, and creating a clear separation between the Main Tank and Rattlesnake water zones. These improvements will significantly increase water system reliability and efficiency for Kingman residents.
There is an information hotline available for any additional questions at 928-233-8790 or via email at info@yourprojectmo.com.
The City appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as we work to upgrade essential infrastructure in our community. Further details on future phases of the project will be shared as they become available.
Residents should expect construction crews, heavy equipment, and trucks in the area during work hours. Activities will include asphalt removal, trench excavation, pipe installation, and road restoration. The City urges drivers and pedestrians to use caution, obey traffic control signage, and help ensure a safe environment for workers and the traveling public.
