City of Kingman Seeks Community Input for Name Selection of Newest Interchange

Kingman, AZ – The City of Kingman is inviting residents to participate in an exciting opportunity to help name the city’s newest traffic interchange. As the first new interchange built since Interstate 40 was constructed through Kingman, this infrastructure project marks a significant milestone for the community. The City Council is seeking a name that reflects Kingman’s rich history, culture, and identity.

Currently referred to as the Rancho Santa Fe Parkway Interchange, the City Council is considering whether to retain the existing name or adopt a new one. At a recent meeting, the Council reviewed citizen submissions and selected three additional name options for public consideration. Now, Kingman residents are encouraged to vote for their preferred choice from the following list:
– Army Airfield
– Flying Fortress
– Rancho Santa Fe Parkway
– Rattlesnake Wash

Residents can cast their vote through our online survey available here: https://polco.us/s2t54p. To ensure the integrity of the voting process and prevent multiple submissions from a single individual, as well as outside influence, participants are required to register with their email and zip code. All responses will remain anonymous, and personal information will be securely managed by Polco to protect voter privacy. The survey will remain open through midnight on Sunday, March 23.

After the survey closes, the results will be presented to the City Council, who will make a final decision at their meeting on April 1. Additionally, there is an estimated $6,326 cost associated with renaming the interchange from Rancho Santa Fe Parkway. To support this effort, the City is seeking community donations. Residents and businesses interested in contributing can do so through the City’s official donation portal at: https://donate.cityofkingman.gov

This is a unique opportunity for Kingman residents to leave a lasting mark on the community by helping shape the city’s future. The City encourages all residents to participate in the survey and have their voices heard.
