Kingman, AZ – The City of Kingman Street Division will be installing new stop bars and crosswalk lines starting Wednesday, September 3 through Friday, September 5, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Work will occur on various streets intersecting Stockton Hill Road, Gordon Drive, and Western Avenue.
Stop bars, also known as stop lines, are thick white lines painted across the road at intersections to indicate where vehicles must come to a complete stop. Together with crosswalk lines, these markings improve safety for drivers and pedestrians by providing clear visual guidance at stop signs, traffic signals, and pedestrian crossings.
This project is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing roadway safety and visibility for residents and visitors. Minor traffic disruptions may occur, and drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through active work zones.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as crews complete this important safety enhancement.
For questions or more information, please contact the City of Kingman Street Division at (928) 757-7467.
