Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are looking for a dog for standard quarantine procedures after a dog bite.
On Saturday, June 17 at about 10 p.m., ACW was dispatched to the hospital where a 10-year-old boy was being treated for a dog bite. The victim’s mother reported they let a stray dog stay with them on occasion in the 1800 block of Surf and Sand Drive. She said on Saturday night, she let the dog come in to play and while she was cooking dinner, the dog attacked her son. He suffered injuries to his face and ear.

The dog is described as a male, white Pitbull type dog with black around its eyes. The dog responds to “Blanco”. The boy’s mother reported the stray dog has been hanging around the neighborhood for years and her children were comfortable around the dog.

ACW patrolled the area but have not located the dog. If anyone has any information, please call the non-emergency dispatch number at (928) 763-1999, reference report# 23-19089.
