Fatal Collision involving Motorcycle

UPDATE – The name of the deceased motorcyclist from last week’s fatal can now be released:  Michael John Vasconcellos, 60 of Bullhead City. Next of kin was notified.
The fatal crash is still under investigation and will be forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for review of possible charges.

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – November 20, 2023 – Bullhead City Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Highway 95 at Corwin Road.  

     On Saturday, November 18 at about 11:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision where a vehicle had rear-ended a motorcycle. 

     The motorcyclist – a 60-year-old Bullhead City man – was stopped at the northbound stop light when an approaching black 2020 Chevrolet Traverse was unable to stop in time and pushed the motorcycle into a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was also stopped at the light.  

     The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene. The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld until next of kin has been notified. Alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor in this collision. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
