On August 31, 2023, at approximately 0830 hours Needles CHP received a call of a head-on traffic crash on US-95, north of Havasu Lake Rd. Party #1 was driving northbound on US-95. Party #2 was driving southbound on US-95, approaching Party #1’s location. This crash occurred when Party #1 attempted to pass a tractor/trailer combination in a no passing zone. As a result of this unsafe passing, Party #1 and Party #2 collided head-on. As a result of this crash, Party #1 and Party #2, along with Party #2’s passenger, sustained fatal injuries. Intoxication is not believed to be a factor in this crash. The names of the involved parties are being withheld pending next of kin notification.
