Kingman, Arizona ~ The Kingman Area Food Bank received a $2,000 donation from the Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468 today, continuing the Elks support of KAFB’s efforts to feed the community’s families. Kingman Elks Lodge’s Exalted Ruler, Mike Timm, said “Our Lodge is proud to be able to continue helping the Kingman Area Food Bank bring essential nutrition to our local families.

Healthy food and especially protein products enable our children to be alert in school as they have had so many changes in the way lessons have been
conducted. These last two years have been very difficult as people have struggled with the effects of COVID and unemployment. The Kingman Area Food Bank’s Executive Director, Mark Pardue, responded “The Kingman Area Food Bank is blessed to have the continued support of the Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468, partners in the past and future in service to our community. Thank you.”

Pardue also advised that this quarter (August to November 2021), there has been a 25% increase over 2020 in the number of families served. “Over 170,800 pounds of food distributed is a 30% increase over our 2020 records. Last year KAFB supplied 4,259 other groups providing food; in 2021, that number increased to 19,026.” This donation is made possible by the Elks National Foundation’s Gratitude Grant.
