Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies executed a search warrant on two homes in the 600 block of E Border Ln. in Mohave Valley on Monday (3/25). The investigation began when deputies were made aware of fraudulent credit card charges via online purchases at a local retail business. After a nearly two-month investigation, the search warrant resulted in the discovery of a large amount of evidence of the suspected fraud. Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were also located.

Six suspects (all Mohave Valley residents) were arrested and charged as a result of the search warrant:
 Sheri Price, 49
 Richard Durnil, 50
 Thomas Hurtado III, 48
 Brooke Sheldon, 24
 Tristin Smith- Mejia, 40
 Matthew Kough (arrested prior to search warrant), 37

All suspects were charged with Conspiracy, Participating in a Criminal Syndicate, Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices, Fraudulent Schemes and Practice, Forgery of a Credit Card, Obtaining Anything of Value by Use of a Fraudulent Credit Card, Obtaining a Credit Card by Fraudulent Means, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, all felonies. Richard Durnil was additionally charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
No suspects are outstanding at this time.

This investigation is ongoing due to the large amount of evidence located. Deputies wished to express their gratitude to MCSO Volunteer Posse, MCSO Animal Control Officers, and Fort Mohave Tribal Police Department for their assistance.
