Havasu Triathlon indirectly impacted by Covid-19

By Paul LaVoie, Radio Central News Network

An event which was originally scheduled for this weekend in Lake Havasu City is now cancelled due to the coronavirus, but not because of a participant potentially carrying the virus. Jackie Leatherman, Director of Travel-Trade Industry for Go Lake Havasu, tells Radio Central News the reason is because of travel restrictions on students imposed by universities – where a large majority of the event’s participants are enrolled.

Leatherman added that the event originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14, is now postponed until an unspecified date in October. She advised that interested participants and attendees should monitor the Go Lake Havasu website for the new date.
