House Fire Contained to Garage
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, a house fire was reported by occupants and neighbors in the 2400 block of Angler Drive. The first arriving fire company found the garage fully engulfed in flames, with two vehicles inside. Five engine companies, one medic unit, and a Battalion Chief responded and were able to bring the fire under control within 27 minutes. The fire was contained in the garage, with only minor smoke damage reported inside the home.
A loud explosion in the garage alerted the occupants, who were home at the time, allowing them to evacuate safely. Crews remained on scene for an additional hour to conduct salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is suspected to be related to the improper disposal of fireworks. During the incident, Desert Hills Fire moved a unit into the city to assist with other 911 calls while Lake Havasu City Fire Department crews were engaged.
For further information, please contact the on-duty Battalion Chief at (928) 486-3507 or the Fire Administration at (928) 855-1141.
