FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lake Havasu City, AZ, November 5, 2024 – As we prepare for our annual Veterans Day Parade, we would like to notify the public about certain temporary road closures and operational changes in Lake Havasu City. The parade, organized by the VFW Post #9401, is set to commence on Monday, November 11, at 9:00 a.m., in honor of the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The parade route is planned along McCulloch Boulevard, which will result in a temporary road closure from Acoma Boulevard to Capri Boulevard from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. Additional road closures will take effect on London Bridge Road, between the Hampton Inn south parking lot and Palo Verde Boulevard South. This will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m. during the ceremony activities, which will be hosted at the VFW Post #9401 headquarters at 266 London Bridge Road.

Please note that the city offices will remain closed on this day to observe the Veterans Day Holiday. Police and Fire Department services will continue as per usual, but administrative offices will not be operating. The Aquatic Center will only open for scheduled swim lessons. Regular schedules for all city offices will resume on Tuesday, November 12. Trash and recycling schedules are not expected to be disrupted.

We ask the public to exercise caution when traveling in the areas outlined above and pay special attention to all signage, markings, volunteers, and law enforcement.

We thank all veterans and active military for their service and invite the public to stay connected using the HavasuNow app, via our website www.lhcaz.gov<http://www.lhcaz.gov>, or by following us on social media @lhcazgov.
