Lake Mead National Recreation Area is pleased to update the community on several new projects and upcoming events designed to enhance and protect this treasured landscape.

The agency recently hosted a virtual community meeting and continues to welcome participation and feedback from members of the public. “Your perspective helps guide our work,” the agency stated, emphasizing that every contribution is key to the ongoing improvement of efforts at Lake Mead NRA.

Among the projects discussed are the Hemenway Harbor Boat Ramp Extension Project, More to Mead, Love Lake Mead Days – Fall Volunteer Opportunities, and updates on the Government Wash Reopening Progress. Community members are encouraged to share their feedback on these initiatives as well as suggestions for future improvements.

In addition, Lake Mead NRA is reaching out to those interested in helping spread the word with official stickers. Anyone wishing to receive Lake Mead NRA stickers is invited to send their mailing address to lake_public_affairs@nps.gov.

Looking ahead, the agency also invites the public to participate in Love Lake Mead Day on October 18. This event is an opportunity for volunteers to connect with one another, engage directly with park activities, and make a visible difference. Those interested in participating are asked to email their commitment to lake_volunteer_cooridator@nps.gov.
