Beginning the week of January 31st, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Posse will be conducting a detail involving the removal of abandoned vehicles on public right-of-way within the jurisdiction of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Abandoned vehicle is defined as a vehicle, trailer or semitrailer that is subject to registration that has been abandoned on a public highway, public property or elsewhere in this state.
The vehicle or trailer will initially be tagged with the appropriate violation. If it is evident that the vehicle has been left unattended for a period of forty-eight hours, the vehicle or trailer will be towed at the owner’s expense. As always, we appreciate the public’s assistance in the removal of junk and abandoned vehicles within the public right-of-way.
