MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (November 14, 2024) – Mohave County ERACE, in partnership with Meadview residents, held a free community trash day on Saturday, November 2nd, marking a significant stride in cleaning up the local area.

The community-led initiative saw the participation of over 100 vehicles, depositing unwanted household items into 11 strategically placed dumpsters. These receptacles ranged in size from 40 to 60 yards, accommodating a large amount of trash. In a striking demonstration of the area’s commitment to recycling, one dumpster was filled entirely with rims-less tires.

In addition to general waste, household appliances were collected for responsible disposal, and a heap of scrap metal was made available for recycling.

In an effort to ensure proper waste management and disposal, Mohave County ERACE sponsored the transport of these wastes to the Cerbat Sanitary Landfill, where the operation was successful.

This commendable event would not have been possible without the aid of the private landowner, the services of the Old Trails Demolition Service, and the dedicated contribution of over 25 local Meadview volunteers.

Mohave County ERACE’s successful organization of the community trash day, and the remarkable response from Meadview residents, highlight the county’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
