Road trips, education, and adventure are all on the schedule this week. Here is a list of interesting programs, and exciting events, shared by the Kingman Office of Tourism and Jim Hinckley of Jim Hinckley’s America.

Scavenger Egg Hunt – March 12 – 17 – The hunt isn’t just about finding eggs; it’s a time for laughter, fun, and creating wonderful memories. Families and friends can enjoy the festivities together and cheering on the little ones. There’s a golden egg hidden in strategic locations at our parks, promising even more exciting prizes to those lucky enough to find them! The eggs will be cleverly hidden beneath bushes, behind trees, and tucked away in secret spots. Some are out in the open, while others might require a keen eye to discover. As everyone gathers their eggs, they can exchange them for delightful treats and surprises at Parks & Recreation office located at 3333 Harrison St. The only way to participate is to follow us on Facebook and look for clues in the designated week. All eggs must be turned in by April 2 (P&R Office closed 4/1/24). Dates: March 12 – 17, March 19 – 24, March 26 – 31 All ages Cost: FREE Location: TBA clues will be announced on Facebook page (City of Kingman, Parks). 

March 14 – Spring Comedy Night Sundowner Saloon – Comedy Night from 6pm to 8:30pm. National Touring Comedians Edwin San Juan and Special Guest Mike Krasner, Come experience an evening of laughter at The Sundowner Saloon, $10 tickets include admission to the event + a can of The BUZZ Honey Lager brewed with local Kingman honey! March 15 – Drive-In Movie – “Pow! Bang! Zap! It’s Batman at the Drive-In!” Don’t forget Parks & Recreation is having a drive-in movie on Friday, March 15th at Southside Park. Come down and join us after a fun filled day at King-Con. Pick up your meal here at the drive-in while spending quality time with your family. Featured movie is a classic Batman movie. Concessions available from The Canvas Its Fire, Teal Taco, and Dawg Haven. Arrivals may begin at 5:45 p.m. Movie will begin at dark. Cost: By donation. March 15 & 16 – King-Con Spring Break – Kingman Comic Con is back for a little geeky King-Con Spring Break. Only this time it’s all about Cosplay and your favorite fandoms! Once again, we’re teaming up with the baddest local Artists, Authors, Cosplayers, Gamers, and Businesses on the block to bring COMIC CON back to Downtown Kingman! General admission is $9.99 (kids under 8 years old free). Early-Bird VIP Access tickets are $19.99. Located at Beale Celebrations, 201 N 4th St Downtown Kingman. March 15 & 16 – The Imaginary Invalid – The Imaginary Invalid is a classic comedy in three acts by the great French playwright Molière and was first performed in 1673. It’s the story about a hypochondriac who tries to arrange a marriage between his doctor and his daughter to save him money on his medical bills! His plan sounds well and good but what would happen if she was already in love with someone else? Come see for yourself how this outrageous comedy unfolds! The production of The Imaginary Invalid is directed by Kristie Uhler. March 16 – Chloride St Patrick’s Day Parade – Sponsored by the Chloride Chamber of Commerce and the Chloride Historical Society. Festivities begin at 9am with a Bake Sale at Thirsty Miner! Followed by parade registration begins at 9:30am at Town Hall. Gunfights at 11am. The parade begins at 12pm.

March 16 – Jim Hinckley Presentation: Dawn of The Great American Road Trip – Sounds of Kingman presents “Dawn of The Great American Road Trip”. A program by Jim Hinckley. Located at Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce, 309 E Beale St, Downtown Kingman. Presentation starts at 1pm. For more information 

March 16 & 17 – Pioneer Country Events Gun Show – Pioneer Country Events is the Oldest Gun, Knife, Coin, Collectibles and Antique Show in Mohave County! We are located at the College Park Community Center, Kingman Arizona! 1990 Jagerson Ave & Van Nuys. The facility faces Van Nuys. The facility will hold approx. 100 tables. We provide a friendly atmosphere welcoming dealers in Coins, Guns, Knives, Clips, Ammo and U.S. or Foreign Military memorabilia and Collectibles of all kinds. March 17 – Escape the City Scavenger Hunt – We are hosting an outdoor escape room style scavenger hunt. Secure your tickets and you and your team will be sent instructions to begin planning for the event! Before the event we will send you an access code and location where you will begin this adventure. You will need to explore the city going to various locations, unlocking clues and solving puzzles. Keep an eye on the live leaderboard to see how other teams are doing! Fun for all ages!  March 17 – Sundowner St. Patrick’s Day Party Event – St. Paddy’s Day all day event from 11am-10pm! – We give FREE Taxi rides home and back to your car! It will be in effect all day Sunday! Happy Hour from 11am to 7pm. Food and Drink Specials All Day! Lunch and Dinner Specials, Homemade Shepherd’s Pie. March 23 – Spring Opener Car & Bike Show – Presented by Mother Road Harley-Davidson and Timeless Cruisers Car Club. Join us for a day filled with live entertainment, mouth-watering food trucks, 50/50 raffle benefitting the Kingman Special Olympics and more! March 23 & 24 – 2nd Annual Mesquite Weekend – Mesquite Weekend is all about learning how to use, eat, grow, and promote the three native Arizona Mesquite trees: Screwbean, Honey, and Velvet as part of a more sustainable life. To that end, the weekend will have workshops, food demonstrations, exercise clinics, vendors, and opportunities to meet and hang out with like-minded folks.

Come on out to Golden Valley, Arizona (a hamlet nestled between Kingman and Bullhead City) to taste mesquite in its many forms, meet other people interested in permaculture, homesteading, natural living, and of course, the three awesome native Arizona Mesquite trees, and enjoy a slow weekend in a small town right off of historic route 66. March 30 – Breakfast with the Easter Bunny – Sponsored By: Golden Corral. The Recreation Department has teamed up with Golden Corral to offer the community a breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Bring the whole family for breakfast in the company of your furry friend! For more info, call the Recreation Department at 928.757.7919. March 30 – Kingman’s Market in the Park Easter Event – Come on down for our opening to our 2024 Market Season as our Easter Event kicks it off! Several vendors offering a variety of products from baked goods to handmade items. Face painters! Food and drink vendors! Of course, our annual Easter Egg Fun Run. Don’t forget the Raffle Table! 8am to 3pm. Located at Lewis Kingman Park, 2201 E Andy Devine Ave 

March 30 – Grand Opening Easter Egg Hunt – Join us for our Grand Opening! Bring the whole family! We’ll have face painting, a baby goat petting zoo, a bouncy house, and an Easter egg hunt. There will be golden egg prizes and a giant raffle basket! The raffle basket will include free services including: A lash set from Beauty by Inann – A facial by Dolled Up Beauty Bar – Palm size tattoo from Secret Glam Society – A piercing from Wolfman Jeff – A massage from Root Nutrition – A nail set from Evergreen Beauty Co – And more!! – Free cotton candy and popcorn.
