In addition to our human remains detection search dogs, our search dog team is growing to include teams training in area/wilderness air scent and trailing/tracking. These search dog teams will be training so they can pass the very strict and difficult National Standards as part of our Arizona Search and Rescue Coordinator Association (ASARCA) certification program. As the teams continue training and progression into their skillsets, they will become valuable resources for our search and rescue missions. These teams are active members of our SAR Units (geographically organized in the Arizona Strip, Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City) and will draw on their search and rescue experience and training, to be a more resourceful asset to the team. We look forward to the additional canine teams as they become certified. Here are some pictures from a recent training event.
