Serious Injury Crash -Vehicle vs Bicyclist

On Thursday, July 27th, at about 4:15pm, a 46-year-old Kingman area man, operating a bicycle, was seriously injured, when he failed to yield and crashed into an oncoming car.  The bicyclist was crossing the intersection of E. Andy Devine Ave. and Airway Ave. against a red light, into the path of an oncoming car, driven by a 66-year-ol Kingman man.  The cyclist received serious injuries to his head and upper body.  He was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.  Investigators determined that the driver of the vehicle was not at fault for the crash.  The cyclist, who is expected to survive, is listed in critical condition.
