TEMPORARY 4-WAY STOP FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE
Lake Havasu City, AZ – The Public Works Department is scheduled to begin installing a temporary 4-way stop at the intersection of Acoma Boulevard North and Palo Verde South. The installation is part of an upcoming Traffic Signal Upgrade project that will impact the said intersection from Monday, October 7th to Tuesday, October 15th, 2024.
Motorists are advised that the traffic signal will not be operational during this period while the upgrade work is being performed. As such, drivers are encouraged to exercise caution when approaching the temporary 4-way stop and should allow for extra travel time. It is also recommended that they heed all construction signage when navigating through any construction area.
The schedule for this project may be subject to daily changes, dependent on the weather conditions.
The Traffic Signal Upgrade project is designed with the intention of improving the existing infrastructure of traffic signals at various intersections within the city limits. The upgrades will include replacing traffic signal cabinets, installing vehicle preemption detectors, and introducing pedestrian push buttons, among other enhancements. The improvements will serve to enhance pedestrian safety and uphold operational industry standards.
For further information regarding this project or any related matters, the Maintenance Services Division may be contacted at (928) 855-3377.
